Minor
Road Project
The Problem
When part of a steeply wooded slope became
unstable on Bridge Valley Road, specialists were called in to provide an environmentally
acceptable solution. Engineers were able to
offer a solution that was both quick to install
and visually attractive in this designated Site of
Special Scientific Interest.
The Solution
Working closely with Rust Consulting Limited and
the Department of Leisure Services of the local
government, our engineers designed a double
thickness wall some 22.5 meters long and up to 6.7
meters high to be face planted with a variety of
indigenous species "re-cycled" from the
site.

The Result
"Very soon this wall will be vegetated and
will blend perfectly into the existing planted
rock-anchored netting that has become a feature of
this site soon you won’t be able to see the wood
for the trees. "
