The Problem
The originally specified steel caged gabions
on the A16 motorway were found to be causing
"shocking" problems underneath the
overhead power lines.
The Solution
A designed and supplied the earth retention
wall which a team of 5 French contractors took just
4 weeks to complete the 1,600 square meter bunds for the National Highways Authority at
a busy intersection.
The Result
This solved the immediate problem being
experienced with the gabions, and what's more it
delivered an exceptional acoustic performance
which will continue throughout its recognized 125
year lifespan".
The crib wall, up to 6 meters high, was
certified 'Tres absorbant', the highest accolade
on the tests carried out by the CEBTP.
